The Land Tour is a 3-hour tour to explore Aitutaki from the comfort of an air-conditioned SUV as your local tour guide takes you on a captivating journey discovering the island’s rich culture, legends, and history. The tour begins as soon as you are picked up from your accommodation. You will visit many places of interest, such as Aitutaki’s main wharf in Arutanga, the very first church built in the Cook Islands by the famous London Mission Society, local schools, hospital, ancient marae (sacred site), and more. The tour will also take you to the two highest peaks and lookouts in Aitutaki—the Piraki lookout and Mount Maunga Pu—where you will savour the sensational view of our beloved lagoon while indulging in some delicious local fresh fruits, with a tasty nu (coconut water).
If the sea is your passion, Tavai Inventure’s sailing charter has got you covered! Indulge yourself onboard an eco-friendly 17’ Hobie Catamaran with Captain Ted. This is the best way to discover the wonders of Aitutaki’s splendid lagoon—you might even get close enough to touch a turtle. Have fun snorkelling and exploring the local underwater marine life, and visit some of our local motus (islets). Enjoy a scrumptious lunch on one of the motus, served with local fresh fruit and coconut nu.
